D-Mannose is a natural sugar with properties that encourage optimum urinary tract health. It also promotes a friendly environment for your normal body microflora. The chemical structure of D-Mannose causes it to adhere to the E. coli bacteria responsible for many urinary discomforts, which the body can then flush out by normal urination.
MannoMax d-Mannose comes from a natural, organic, hardwood source -- no synthetics used. It is available as a powder in 50-gram and 250-gram jars and in tablet form.
Specific use of D-Mannose varies from person to person, but for a general guideline, see the Ingredients/Directions tab above or D-Mannose Suggested Use.
What Is It?
D-Mannose is a simple sugar. Chemically, it is closely related (a stereoisomer) to glucose. It is a naturally occurring sugar found in cranberry and pineapple juice. When D-Mannose is ingested into the body, most of it is rapidly absorbed through the stomach and upper GI tract before reaching the intestines, emptying into the urine through the kidneys. Only a very small amount of D-Mannose is actually metabolized by the body.
D-Mannose simply helps to remove misplaced E.coli from inside the urinary tract by the natural process of urination. Use of D-Mannose is ecologically sound. The small amount of D-Mannose metabolized by the body and not excreted into the urine is harmless. It also tastes good!
